On March 15, Mr. Lawrence Poh, Lei Shing Hong Machinery ("LSHM") Group CEO and his management team welcomed Mr. Liu Hongbin, China National Petroleum Corporation (“CNPC”) Deputy General Manager and his delegation’s visit joined by Qihua, Vice President of Caterpillar Inc. and Chairman of Caterpillar China and other Caterpillar personnel.

CNPC is China's largest oil and gas producer and supplier, as well as one of the world's major oilfield service providers and a globally reputed contractor in engineering construction. Caterpillar started the cooperation with CNPC more than 40 years ago. In 2015, the two parties entered into a strategic cooperation agreement and expect to further explore cooperation opportunities in products and services, equipment manufacturing and remanufacturing, circular economy, and sustainable development, etc. Headquartered in Kunshan, LSHM is Caterpillar’s largest dealer in China. After the more than 1 hour’s pleasant meeting and dialogue exchanges, the CNPC leaders had more comprehensive understanding of the business model between Caterpillar and its dealer, as well as LSHM’s business and strategies.  

Following the meeting, the leaders visited LSHM’s Center for Excellence in Digital Innovation. The digital center, put into use at the end of February 2018 and through the integration, optimization and analysis of big data and alignment with Caterpillar’s digital strategy, is fully deploying the goal of “Win with Customers” which is customer-centric. After that, the leaders visited LSHM’s engine center, which won the 5 Star Contamination Control certificate for the 4th consecutive year since 2014 for its facility contamination control.

The visit came to a successful conclusion and Mr. Liu expressed the expectation to carry out more in-depth discussion and cooperation with LSHM in the areas of human resources, resource sharing and related business areas.
